9 Wetherby Gardens
Interior of a residential house

Wrapped in a palette of soft neutrals, this thoughtfully designed home balanced everyday comfort with quite socialization, offering a serene backdrop for modern living.

Nestled in a white stucco Victorian home on a popular garden square in Chelsea, Atelier Minka team first approached the project by the careful allocation of layout. With a plan in place, the team applied a subtle but strict colour scheme to blanket the space that would not overshadow the original period features—like the stunning mouldings that meander from room to room.
They found influence from the opposing garden and ushered in a gentle cast of green hues met with vibrant prints to encourage movement and discovery from one space to another. The result is a collection of rooms fit for entertaining guests, interiors that welcome gathering and a home made for a young, playful family to grow.
A playful take on the relationship between formal and informal living, Atelier Minka team divided the two living spaces with cleverly placed sofas in contrasting textiles—custom made by de Le Cuona, one sofa dons a luxurious velvet and the other a casual linen. Lighting also serves as an anchor in the space through stunning fixtures that speak fluently to one another, from space to space.
