About us

It’s the well-spoken language between colour and texture that render a room memorable — spaces that play to the senses and evoke emotion from one corner to the next.

A love of interior design was deeply ingrained in Alina from an early age by her mother, whose own passion for design would often find her renovating their homes. But Alina didn’t rush into interiors right away. Her creative journey began with a career in fashion first, where she used her extensive knowledge of textiles to create a female fine-shirt company. Alina first developed an interest in the history of fabric design and then spent half a decade conducting historical research while traveling the world to understand the different aspects, from production to design. This passion for textiles allowed the designer to explore the artisanal nature of fabric design, experience that would set the foundation for her signature tailored aesthetic artistically laced throughout her interiors work.

The creative entrepreneur quickly made the leap from fashion to homewares, founding her tabletop brand, Limonsier, a bespoke entertaining service emphasizing the art of hosting through beautifully curated collections of fine china, linens and other details. Garnering a reputation as a tastemaker, Alina’s tableware clientele swiftly persuaded her to design other areas of their homes—and, from there, Atelier Minka was born. Alina received her formal interiors training at the prestigious KLC School of Design based in London, renowned for producing some of design’s most talented creatives. Now, the arbiter of style creates curated homes that balance colour, movement and functionality, while keeping the visual weight of her furnishings considered alongside a discerning palette for patterns. In the end, Alina creates serene interiors that are softly expressed and intensely felt—delicate spaces layered with quiet intention.
